Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
LOST DOG CAFE is a staple on Folly Beach. This cozy spot serves breakfast all day along with sandwiches and wraps for lunch. When it comes to brunch, they have everything you could possibly want! From pancakes to eggs benedict to bagel sandwiches, they are sure to have something that will satisfy your cravings. Don’t forget; no brunch is complete without a Bloody Mary or mimosa!
Local Tip: Just as the name suggests, this is a great spot to bring your pup along!
Rita’s Seaside Grille
Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Completely fitting to Folly’s overall vibrant and funky vide, Rita’s Seaside Grille is a colorful and casual restaurant with frequent live music. Whether you’re looking for something sweet like pancakes or savory like shrimp and grits, you’re sure to find something delicious here. We especially love the omlettes.
Local Tip: They are also known to host Drag brunch and live music events, so be sure to check their website for an up-to-date schedule.
Isle of Palms
Sea Biscuit Cafe

If you’re looking for a more classic breakfast rather than your typical brunch, Sea Biscuit Cafe is the place for you! They serve just about anything you could be crazing from French toast to omlettes to biscuits with gravy. We recommend trying out one of their unique daily specials that could range from blackened salmon eggs Benedict to crab artichoke quiche. It’s the perfect place to fuel up before heading out for a day full of ACTIVITIES ON ISLE OF PALMS!
Local Tip: This restaurant is cash only, so make sure you visit the ATM outside first.
Acme Lowcountry Kitchen

For a seafood brunch with a Southern flare, head to ACME LOWCOUNTRY KITCHEN. The goal of this establishment is to keep things upscale yet casual– everyone is welcome! The menu is full of fresh, local ingredients and sustainable seafood. With at least six different homemade variations, they specialize in shrimp and grits, a beloved Lowcountry dish popular for brunch.
Local Tip: Their servings are large so make sure you show up hungry! The restaurant fills up quickly, so we recommend making a reservation at least a few days in advance to ensure you don’t miss out on this delicious spot.
Sullivan’s Island
The Obstinate Daughter
Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
THE OBSTINATE DAUGHTER is a local favorite and not just one of the best restaurants on Sullivan’s Island but in the entire Charleston area. The nautical-themed interior gives it a relaxed yet elegant ambiance that’s perfect for an upscale beach spot. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but their pasta and quiche are the always top of the line.
Local Tip: You’ll want to book your reservation here as far in advance as possible because it books up months in advance during summer. However, that should be enough to convince you of how good it really is!
Mex 1 Coastal Cantina
Sunday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Tacos and award-winning margaritas are the highlights of this Sullivan’s Island hangout. MEX 1 COASTAL CANTINA offers fresh Baja Mexican cuisine in a bright and vibrant setting. Don’t worry, they still have all the brunch cocktail classics like Bloody Marys and mimosas. It’s the ideal spot for breakfast taco and burrota lovers. Our personal favorite is the huevos rancheros!
Local Tip: They often host events like trivia and live music. Be sure to check out their EVENTS SCHEDULE for some fun within walking distance to your beach house.
Downtown Charleston
The Darling Oyster Bar
Sunday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
THE DARLING OYSTER BAR serves up many locals’ favorite brunch in Charleston. If you’re looking to try some of the Lowcountry’s amazing seafood offerings with a brunch flare, this pot should be your go-to. We recommend the seafood frittata or the crab benedict. Have someone in your group who doesn’t love seafood, the french toast is to die for!
Local Tip: If you love Bloody Marys, you have to try the Captain Bloody Mary! It’s complete with a lobster claw, a crab leg, shrimp, a hushpuppy, celery, olives, and a lime wedge. It’s an appetizer and drink in one!
Felix
Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
If brunch is all about the drinks for you, you’ll love Felix. The French-themed restaurant serves up elevated classics like French toast and deviled eggs with lobster. Although you can’t go wrong with anything on their menu, their cocktails are where they really shine. The mimosa Felix flight four different kinds of juice and a bottle of house bubbly. We also love the brunch daquari for those hot summer days. Mocktails are also available for those not drinking alcohol.
Local Tip: If you aren’t interested in brunch food, their burger is always in the running the best in Charleston!
Shem Creek
Tavern & Table
Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Not only does TAVERN & TABLE have great views, but this restaurant also has great food and drinks! The rustic-chic decor inside is stunning, and the menu has a wide variety of locally sourced new American cuisine. You can enjoy everything from duck chilaquiles to hash brown bowls to a fried egg burger. There’s truly something for everyone, and it’s all delicious!
Local tip: In our opinion, Tavern & Table has some of the best pimento cheese in the city. We highly recommend ordering some for your table!
The Mill Street Tavern
Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 3:30pm and Saturday through Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3:30pm
Shem Creek is a popular spot to grab a meal or drink for tourists and locals alike because of the amazing views over the marsh. Indulge in cocktails made from regional distilleries while enjoying som of the best outdoor seating in the area at The Mill Street Tavern. For food, they have something for everyone from waffles to BBQ pulled pork nachos to avocado toast,
Local Tip: For something completely different, The Mill Street Tavern serves sushi daily starting at noon.
