Sandcastle is a cozy cottage located on the beach in IOP. It is quiet and close to a beach access boardwalk. It is an older house and could use some updating but was still a nice place to stay. It is a three-minute drive to the grocery store. It has a large yard which is great if you are traveling with your dog. We would definitely rent this property again.

Very clean updated furniture comfortable beds excellent lighting a minute walk out doorway down boardwalk to expansive beach Dogs very welcome and joke is minutes away from grocery store and restaurants Very relaxed atmosphere in town with extremely friendly people much easier and quicker to get to Charleston than expected with an abundance of history and culture

Very attractive, functional little house with stunning views. You can see water from every window. Almost like being on an ocean liner. And so close to the beach that you can easily take multiple walks throughout the day. The location makes this place a true luxury.

This Property is great for family time right next to the beach. Enough room for 5-6 people to stay and enjoy IOP. Great pet stay as well for vacation. This house has been great for us the past 2-3 years to stay at.

Beautiful spring days on the beach with direct access to sands with a large yard. Home is cozy with all the conveniences and comforts. Large open living area with bedrooms and baths off Center - each with tv and comfy beds. Good wifi and a large back deck. All day sun and a private ( but not enclosed /fenced yard) quiet and elevated to see over the dunes. Good kitchen with space. Parking underneath with outdoor hose and shower. Well kept 90’s home with wood floors and a fireplace. Close to shops and restaurant. Beach not too busy and house is air conditioned and heated. Lovely place for a break or seaside getaway with a dog!

Outstanding property

This was our second visit to this property. Best location with beach access from the back yard and close to stores and restaurants. Everything was in good working order and our stay was hassle free. Very clean and there was a nice refresh since our stay last year that brightened up the inside and backyard. Great property for pets with a large yard that provides some privacy. Pet friendly area and we found everyone to be pleasant and respectful with their pets.

Perfect Little Cottage

The house had everything we needed and truly loved the decor. It’s difficult to tell from the listing but there is an ocean view. The access is easy out the back yard and then on to the path. The yard is huge and the dogs loved it. Thank you for a fantastic trip!

Short Walk to the Beach!

This house had a nice large private yard, which along the main Palm Blvd was very rare. You could see the ocean from the back deck, and the walk to the public path was right through the backyard. While convenient, it also made it very loud with lots of people coming and going. House was very clean, with very comfortable beds, and had a very nicely stocked kitchen. We cooked several full meals, and used the grill as well. It was nice to have a private yard for the kids to play in (and our dog). Within 5 minutes to Harris Teeter and several restaurants! Very nice long weekend away!

Great place to stay

. The ocean is a little bit of a walk but I think that's expected of most houses on Isle of Palms. We were a little nervous before we arrived that we wouldn't be able to see the ocean from the porch but luckily we could. The trees were trimmed enough to allow a view yet still keep the property in a natural state. We loved our stay and hope to stay again next year.

Amazing place to stay

My fiancé and I came to Charleston for a wedding and decided to make a week out of it. This location was incredibly convenient for enjoying the beach and it’s only a short drive to the food store. Very clean, spacious and amazing views. Highly recommend.

Classic IOP Cottage Surrounded by Nature

When I first came across this house, I thought it was too good to be true: A beachfront home small enough for my family, surrounded by nature? The photos do not lie. Once you pull in, busy Palm Blvd disappears. The home is comfortable and cute. The surroundings are the real appeal--I'm glad you only limbed up the trees, as they are the best feature! We've heard thousands of frogs, watched a hawk hunt in the patch of natural land behind the house, played in the backyard and enjoyed the shady breezeway, and we've even seen a huge rabbit. You are surrounded by bird song and at the same time can see dolphins from the back deck. Even though you are next to a public beach access, this is not a terribly crowded stretch of beach. The bedrooms are comfortable--good mattress, sheets, and pillows (a rarity!), with good storage. The kitchen is well equipped, and I know how hard that is in a rental. Cooks: the knife and cutting board situation is good, and there are sets of glass storage bowls with lids. We look forward to many more stays and are so grateful that some of the classic IOP beach cottages remain.

Beautifully decorated, perfect views

This oceanfront cottage was the perfect get-a-way for our family of 6! We felt as though there was plenty of space for all of us have time to ourselves but then gather together on the decks, kitchen, at the beatiful marble dining table and awesome living room. The blinds in the home must have been recently replaced, and Tyler was helpful with recommendations in the area and throughout the booking process. Highly recommend this home and a rarity on Isle of Palms as most oceanfront homes are too big for smaller groups - the lot size was also very spacious and well manicured! We will be back as soon as possible.

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortably furnished home especially lounging and eating on the back porch while listening to the ocean. We would just recommend taking a tree or two down to enhance the view otherwise the house was great! Communication with the management was always easy & helpful as well. would definitely go back!

Property is just beyond the dunes with ocean view and short walk to the beach. It is close to some great restaurants (including take-out) and shopping. Pet friendly on a spacious lot, good privacy from road and neighbors. Living and sleeping areas were comfortable and functional. Good working kitchen with most of what we needed. Management company was great with checking into a very clean property inside & out and with following up to be sure we were satisfied. Best place we've rented in the area, we would go back here.

This beach home was PERFECT in every possible way. From the ease of check-in, lovely neighborhood, comfortable and clean accommodations and direct beach front, I can't think of a thing wrong with this home. It was just the right size for our small family and dog. Several nights we invited friends over for dinner and enjoyed the views of the ocean from the porch deck. The house was clean as a whistle and all linens, utensils and dishes were in good shape and in abundance. The appliances were like new and furnishings were exactly what we needed to enjoy much needed family time. I will gladly rent this house again. It was one of the most relaxing and pleasant beach vacations we have ever taken. I cannot wait to return. Thank you to the owners for their attention to detail and making this a wonderful time for our family.

Perfect beach get away

Close to beach with access right next to the house. Has all amenities needed for a long stay. Bed was a bit firm for me, but not a deal breaker by any means. I would only suggest a couple of extra blankets the A/C works that good!!! We will book again and are already looking forward to it!
