Great location, clean, and comfortable stay. We had a great experience in the The Washout Cottage! The agency was easy to work with and we had everything we needed. We felt very safe and secure during our stay. The house was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Well stocked kitchen and we loved all the seating options throughout the house. The outside was especially enjoyable. We sat on the front and listened to the waves crash on the beach and enjoyed watching the surfers from the rooftop. Once we had enough sun we moved to the back screened in porch for some rest and relaxation. The icing on the cake was having the beach gear delivered upon arrival. Super convenient and a nice addition to the stay. I would definitely book here again

Highly Recommended...for a family of 4/small group

Fav vacation moment: enjoying a bottle of wine on the rooftop deck in the evening and just listening to the ocean waves Highly Recommended...for a family of 4/small group. the washout cottage doesn\'t look like much from the outside (right across from the beach though!); however, once you step inside you immediately realize how much time & effort was put into creating a \'home away from home\' with beautiful decor and all amenities you\'d need. felt so comfortable and welcoming - the owners did a fabulous job and would highly recommend staying here when visiting folly beach/charleston.

We had such an amazing time. Location was everything, we were right across from the beach, a short walk to the lighthouse and 25 minutes outside of Charleston. The house was very clean & beautifully decorated.

Perfect get away beach vacation! So relaxing!

This place was the perfect location set just far enough from downtown for some peace and quiet with beautiful views all around. The back screened in porch offers the best place to relax and we hung out there almost as much as we did at the beach which was just across the road! Just be aware of high tide times 🙂

Honestly the perfect property in my opinion. My husband and I stayed last year and loved this house. It’s comfortable and cozy, beautifully decorated with the most amazing ceilings. Fantastic view of the ocean from the top deck and an equally stunning view of the marsh at sunset on the screen porch.

Great stay at washout cottage

Great spot! Such a well maintained cottage. Kitchen and common areas are functional and spacious. Bedrooms are snug but comfortable. Perfect for a family of four for a few days of relaxation at the beach. Would definitely stay here again.

The property is adorable! We loved the clean yet relaxed decor and vibe-being able to open the front sliding door and window to hear the ocean was wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped to cook if you want to, and the rooftop deck was so fun to enjoy both the beach and sound side-very special. Loved being able to watch the surfers too!"

The location is what brought us to this cottage, but the cottage itself is what will bring us back. Perfect intimate beach getaway with stunning sunrise and sunset views of ocean and back river area. Very unique to area. Well managed property with all the perks of being located in Folly Beach area .

The property was just as described in the listing. Settled in beautiful surroundings, clean and well-cared for. The property management company also did a fantastic job- they maintained communications throughout, but were never overbearing. We loved our stay and would definitely book again!

Will definitely book again!!

I would give this rental 6 stars if I could! This charming cottage was situated perfectly between the beach and tidal marsh providing beautiful sun rises over the ocean and sunsets on the marsh. Between the open patio, screened-in porch and rooftop deck, we enjoyed the SC sunshine and the best star gazing I’ve ever seen! We enjoyed many walks on the beach and even saw dolphins playing in the waves, as well as a few surfers! The restaurants, shops, and Bert’s store which never closes, are just a few minutes away. We enjoyed southern hospitality and amazing seafood at a variety of local restaurants. The cottage was clean and well stocked, providing for all our needs- linens & towels, full kitchen with an awesome coffee maker, and even paper towels & toilet paper. A perfect, quiet, private, beach get away for a couple or family! We will definitely book the Washout Cottage again.

Wonderful cottage with double views

This very comfortable beach house has great views of both the estuary/marsh side of Folly and the beach. We were able to watch surfers and check conditions from the roof deck, and then walk a few steps to the beach -- then lounge on the screened in back porch and watch herons and egrets in the marsh. The place came with bikes to ride along the beach to the lighthouse and into town for tennis at the public courts and dinner. The cottage itself is very well set up with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, laundry, and living/dining area. A perfect getaway for the four of us

Fantastic House

My fiancée and I stayed here for an early honeymoon and this house was absolutely amazing! Conveniently located, it’s within walking distance to the lighthouse and town. The beach was surprisingly quiet during the week and it felt completely private not only indoors but in the outdoor spaces as well. We were both completely blown away with how stunning the house was in person and it genuinely felt like home away from home. Definitely hope to have this be our yearly spot as we grow our family! We can’t thank the owners enough for letting us stay in such a wonderful house, it was the best vacation we’ve had.

Perfect spot for our family of 3

We enjoyed the views from the roof deck and hanging out reading on the screened in porch. It was cute and well decorated with just enough room for our family of 3. We loved being so close the the beach that we didn't have to plan every aspect of our day on the sand.
