The property was perfect for our weekend. The layout of the house is wonderful and we have beautiful views of both the ocean and the marsh. The home was just across the street where our extended family stayed! I hope it will be available next year

Great Beach House

Perfect location away from the center of town and a short walk to beach access. There is a beach view from the large front deck to watch the surfers and sunrise. Large open floor plan with plenty of seating areas. Kitchen was well equipped (we cooked most of our meals) with lots of counter space. Master bedroom was off the back with large bathroom - double sinks, large walk in shower and huge closet. The other two bedrooms were off the living space. Second bedroom has on suite bathroom with walk in shower. Third bedroom and bath were joined with pocket door. Elevator was a nice amenity to haul up groceries and luggage. Outdoor furniture was a bit worn and the umbrella was missing the piece to hold it up but all in all this was a great place for a beach vacation. We will return.

We had a great time. The house is lovely and having a view of the ocean AND the marsh is a big plus. The fenced in back yard was great for our furry kid! The master bed was comfortable! Just a few things... Kitchen could use some more silverware, plates and cookware. The coffee pot leaks

Beautiful house and perfect location!!

This was our first visit to Folly Beach, with no recommendations on where to stay. Based on the photos and information on VRBO, we chose this pet-friendly house and we were not disappointed. The location is perfect - the elevator was great to haul groceries and luggage. Everything we needed was available. The decks and screened in porch, the fenced-in back yard for the dog, the furnishings and decor....all "spot on"and well-kept. It would have been nice to have a master bedroom with a king size bed, instead of a queen. Otherwise our stay was incredible!

Graduation weekend rental

Cozy & comfortable house on an incredible lot, with both ocean view in front and marsh view in back. Plus the house has good-sized porches to enjoy both. Only drawback is finicky shower nozzles and a less-than-adequately stocked kitchen (which doesn’t matter if you don’t plan to cook). 2 of the 4 stove burners don’t work. Would definitely recommend to friends & would rent again.

Really nice house with a great view of the ocean and the marsh

We had a wonderful time at this house. It was able to accommodate our big group and we loved the views. The front porch faces the ocean and the back porch leads to a fenced-in backyard with a view of the marsh. You can watch the sun rise and set! The kitchen was great for our big group as well. And the property manager Mark was so helpful in making sure that we had everything we needed and he even gave us suggestions for things to do on Folly Beach. We definitely recommend this house to anyone looking to vacation on Folly Beach and we plan to stay in this same house again next year. Recommended for: People with Disabilities, Families with Young Children, Pet-friendly, Girls Getaway, Adventure Seekers, Age 55+, Romantic Getaway, Families with Teenagers

Ocean and Marsh!

This is our second visit to the Blue Pelican, it was as we remember it. The only thing I can say for this visit is that the exterior paint looks great, but they need to do a bit of overhaul on their plumbing. Shower controls are dodgy at best, but once you figure out how to get warm water, you are good. A bit of an update on those fixtures would be nice. Also, the garage door was open this time, with no option to close it! Being Folly Beach, the risks were pretty low of anyone bothering us, but it would help more seasoned travelers' peace of mind if the place could be secured - doors on the deck won't lock either. Otherwise, it is very close to the ocean without the oceanfront price, and the marsh is beautiful all the time. Elevator is a back saver! Great place to bring your pet. We'll come back, even with its little eccentricities.

Absolutely beautiful

We loved this beautiful home. I could stand in the kitchen and see the ocean on one side and the marsh on the backside. The front and back decks were awesome for viewing or eating meals. In which we weren't able to do because of the cold front moving through. However we enjoyed just hovering around the huge kitchen island where we cooked, talked, and ate. The elevator wasn't working at first, but dunes properties had maintenance out within minutes. They were very nice and made sure our issue was resolved. I highly recommend this beautiful home.
