As you prepare for your stay, please be aware that the City of Isle of Palms is planning a beach renourishment project beginning late June 2026 near the north end of Wild Dunes. This important project is intended to help preserve and protect the beach shoreline.
During active work, guests may encounter temporary beach access limitations, equipment, or pipeline sections along portions of the beach. Because the project schedule and work areas may change, specific dates and locations are not yet known. We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available.

The Sandy Shanty exceeded all expectations! It is the perfect house for a family vacation with many large bedrooms. It is less than a minute walk to a beautiful beach, and when you've had enough beach for the day can come back to relax in the nice pool and spa. Beautiful direct views of the beach from the rooftop deck. House is well appointed and would definitely rent again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The home has all of the amenities that were advertised and they all worked well. We really enjoyed the pool and the access to the beach was t that much further than if we were on oceanfront. We loved the sunrise/sunset views from the roof.

Overall great place to stay with a large group. The house is really spacious! Especially appreciated the second refrigerator in the laundry room, and all the private porches. Kitchen is very well equipped. Had a wonderful week with our extended family. The beach is uncrowded and the pool with shade is awesome!

Our family loved the Sandy Shanty. The ammenties-2 refrigerators, washer/dryer, 2 family rooms for our large family, plenty of eating and gathering places inside and out. Great seating for all. The pool was a good reprieve from the beach. Loved watching the sunset and rise on the rooftop patio. The bright and beachy decor/paint were inviting and happy. Our family would love to come back and stay at the Sandy Shanty!

Amazing!

This home met and surpassed expectations! We had 18 adults with us for a family wedding and there was more than enough room! Only small issue was the stove didn't work consistently well, but it did work. House was extremely clean and all our needs were met if and when we had any questions/issues! Highly recommend this home! It's lovely and was a wonderful place to stay with family!
