CHARLESTON OUTDOOR ADVENTURES is all about getting out on the water. Not only do they have paddleboard rentals and kayak tours, but they also have boat tours and fishing charters. They allow you to rent a SUP for either 3 hours or 24 hours at a time. They’re also right next to the famous BOWEN’S ISLAND RESTAURANT, so you can grab a bite afterward! There aren’t any other rental locations in this area of Folly, so it’s truly a unique experience!
Isle of Palms
Carolina Surf and Supply
Carolina Surf and Supply offers paddleboards in many different sizes, so kids can easily enjoy the water too! Their boards range from seven feet long to 12 feet long. They also have boards that can accommodate 300+ pounds. You can rent a paddleboard with a paddle by the day or the week. Life jackets are not included but can be added on for a fee.
Coastal Expeditions
Coastal Expeditions has two locations, one on Shem Creek and one on Isle of Palms. Both offer incredible spots to immerse yourself in the Lowcountry’s waterways. You can rent a paddleboard for two hours or four hours. All the gear that you’ll need is included, and reservations are recommended.
Local Tip: Parking at their Shem Creek location is free. There will be a fee for parking at the Isle of Palms Marina.
