The City of Folly Beach has scheduled beach renourishment for this spring. The project will start at the West end of the island at the county park progressing towards the pier in blocks. The completion is slated for August. While this is welcomed news given the recent erosion from storms and high tides, we realize the potential for disruption based on the project’s timing.

We are committed to ensuring your vacation experience remains enjoyable. While most of the beach will remain publicly accessible during the construction, there is a possibility that certain sections of the beach, typically about 500 feet at a time, may be temporarily closed off. The active work area moves every 5 to 7 days on average.

Due to so many external factors, we have no way to predict an accurate timeline for when the project will be at any given location. However, if we anticipate in advance that the project may affect your stay, we will be reaching out to you.

In the small chance the project directly affects your beachfront vacation, we will work closely with you to discuss options.

Drip Dry Down is the downstairs unit of a charming oceanfront duplex. This home exemplifies beach cottage chic, as the use of wood and neutral tones throughout the home make the clean white and ocean blue accents pop. Featuring stainless steel appliances and tile flooring, the kitchen is fully stocked. Connected to the kitchen is the living room. Here, relax on the queen sleeper sofa and watch your favorite shows on the 43" curved 4K TV. The master bedroom, with a king bed, opens onto the porch and offers wonderful ocean views. It is also equipped with another 43" 4K TV. The second bedroom has both a queen bed and a twin bed. Outside of the apartment, conveniently connected to the exterior of the home is a washer and dryer.

Oceanfront pools are a rare find on Folly Beach, so this home is pretty special. If the waves are too rough or the water is a little chilly, this heated pool offers an ocean side oasis. Please note that the backyard, including the private beach access and heated pool, is a community space shared with the upper unit (Drip Dry Up). The home has TVs that are equipped with a premium cable package including HBO, Showtime, Starz, Cinemax, etc. Also enjoy high speed internet everywhere throughout the cottage!

Pool heaters are not operational between mid June and mid August each year.
