Right on the Ocean

We stayed in a recently renovated house that is literally only steps from the ocean. We were able to watch the surfers and beach walkers and their dogs right from the dining table, back porch or deck. It was wonderful to catch the sunrise each day. Wonderful experience.

We love the Sea Cookie. Been returning for over a decade and it is always reinvigorating to the body and soul. The house has beautiful ocean front views from so many vantages of the house and deck. The owners and property managers have made so many new improvements to the house. We can’t wait to come back again! Our friends from Charleston always love to come visit us too. They love it as much as we do!!!

Beautiful property, well equipped. Appreciate the house being dog friendly. We all had a wonderful time - loved the screened porch, loved the deck, and truly loved the water being right at the edge of the steps. The house had everything we needed and then more. The dogs say Arrrooohhhh (Basset speak for thank you)!

This house is really nice. A beautiful place.Have stayed two years in a row. It’s great because it has both a large screened Porch and a deck. The interior is very nicely appointed and high end. Really well done.Only two bedrooms but the house feels very spacious due to very high ceilings. It is quite close to the beach which is also nice and it is at the end of to the road so it’s quite private. If you want a two bedroom house on the beach, this is the one.

great views!
Looking at the ocean from the deck of the property - great views! We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Cookie! The house had everything we needed, was right on the beach, and if we spent too much time in the sun, we had the screened porch as an option. The vacation team was super easy to work with too. Highly recommend!

The Sea Cookie!
House met all our needs for a relaxing anniversary week. Cute cozy and located in a quiet area. Clean house and well stocked kitchen. Nice screened porch to enjoy an evening or to stay out of the rain. Deck with new furniture and gates to keep our pup safe and secure. Will most definitely return. Dunes Properties one of the best companies we have ever delt with.

Needs Some Work
Location is great porch and deck are good. We have stayed here before. This time the grill was gone, Internet basically working only a few hours a day. Walls had very rough patch jobs and walls are really in need of paint. Furniture is past its prime. But the electricity is concerning. We had multiple outlets throwing sparks when you plugged in and multiple outlets just did not work and some falling out of the wall. In the master you turn the light on overhead and it stays on for a couple seconds and goes off. While we love the location and the layout of the home, we feel it really needs to have some work done. Oh yes if you do not keep the exterior doors locked they open with any type of breeze. Home just needs to have a few weeks of some serious maintenance done. It has gone downhill a lot since our stay a year ago

Thank you for the feedback! This home is incredibly popular, and as such we have brief periods of time to get maintenance done. However with the off season approaching we have all of these items on the schedule to be repaired! We also tried to send an electrician over to address the issues during the stay, and he was turned away and service was refused. Since guest departure, the electricity and internet were both fixed with quick visits by technicians. 

Celebrations

Celebrated my 62 birthday, my oldest son and his wife’s 15 year anniversary and my youngest son and his fiancé wedding. 5 star +, Perfect location and view. Wedding was on the schooner Pride about a 30 minute drive and right beside the Aquarium. City center, market that has everything, and beverage store within a quick 3-5 minute drive. House is clean., beds comfortable and has amazing covered and open deck. Best of all ocean front with literally steps to the waters edge at high tide! Amazing stay and enjoyed by all!!!!

Utter Peace and Relaxation
This was our second vacation at the Sea Cookie, and it was even more relaxing than the first. Our entire day was scheduled by the sunrise, the high and low tides, and the sunset. We spent our entire days in utter peace and relaxation, strolling down the beach with our dog, drinking coffee, reading books, listening to the ocean waves, and gazing at the stars at night (we brought a telescope with us and it was amazing!!). It is private and quiet there and has just enough neighbors/passerbys for some nice "people and dog-watching". We went grocery shopping the first day and never left the house/beach after that until we were driving home 8 days later! We cooked and had Uber Eats deliver food~ perfect!!! The recent remodeling done to the house (especially the bathrooms and deck) is very nice! We came home and the very next day we booked our vacation there for next year.

Perfect!

The house was very comfortable - not too fancy or fluffy - with plenty of linens, towels, dishes, etc. The porch and beach access are the best!!

Overall great place. Has everything you need. Enjoyed the morning stroll on beach with dogs and coffee. Quiet relaxing setting. Close enough to activity and some of the best food. Place appears to been in rental program for awhile. Needs some TLC, mostly minor stuff. Overall would return!

Beach vacation 2019
We really enjoyed staying at Sea Cookie, loved the quiet location near the end of the street. Our dog liked having daily multiple walks on the beach as much as we did. We thought the house was comfortable and we'll equipped. We spent most of our time on the deck, or in the screened area of the deck. Loved it all! Thanks!

Lovely Home, Big Beach

My sister and I visited in August 2018. The house is right on the beach at the end of the street, so very private. We enjoyed each having our own bedroom and bath. Loved the screened in porch adjacent to the patio (which is great for sun bathing). We were able to bring our 4-year old dachshund who loved running on the beach (certain hours only). Extremely relaxing stay.

Very Clean
We really enjoyed our stay. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Nice bed linens and towels. The house was perfect for pets!!!! We will definitely rent it again!

Relaxing

Loved the friendly people of Folly Beach! Service was excellent at all restaurants we went to and in nearby Charleston.

We had the beach to ourselves, as it was late January, and the weather hit or miss. The house was perfect for us-

Well-equipped kitchen
Beach front location 
Dog friendly
Comfortable

I would suggest bringing extra blankets if visiting during the winter. The heating system worked well but the cotton coverlets weren’t quite enough.

We love Sea Cookie!
We stayed in August of 2016 with our son (18 months at the time), and our dog. The house could not have been better suited for our family. The deck out back that overlooks the beach is enclosed so the dog and toddler could come and go as they please and enjoy the views! We have already booked another week in May 2017, and we can't wait to experience Sea Cookie again!

Best dog friendly vacation on Folly Beach!
We love, love, love Sea Cookie! We wouldn't change one thing about this lovely vacation rental. Right on the beach, quiet and serene location, keeps us coming back again and again! Two bedroom, one on each end, each with its own bath, makes this the perfect house to enjoy with friends. The kitchen, dining & living areas all have expansive ocean views and are beautifully decorated and functional. The covered screen porch and open decking make this all about enjoying the beach in any kind of weather! Our dogs lived the fact they were included and spent countless hours on the decks and porches watching seagulls, surf and pelicans with their people.
