What Is Charleston Like in January?

The Weather

First thing is first: you need to know about the weather. How else will you know what you should pack in your bags? It’s very similar to Charleston in December. Historically, the average high temperature is 57 degrees, and the average low temperature is 43 degrees. That means you should include some warm clothing in your luggage.

We recommend a jacket, gloves or mittens, a knit hat, and maybe a scarf so that you stay cozy no matter what the weather brings during your visit.
